HARTFORD WINS 4-3

6:39 - Hartford is 2-7 in the shootout...Bridgeport is 7-2, but have lost the last two...

6:37 - Reggie will take the draw...and wins it, but not cleanly....and we'll go to a shootout

6:36 - Tambellini breakaway with 15 seconds left...and OH MAN WHAT A GLOVE SAVE!!...and Bridgeport will call a timeout...

6:35 - Kohn takes out Korpikoski...now sound tigers will work it deep...Walter gets stripped...

6:34 - Jackman and Regier will take a shot now....Korpikoski just undressed Fata...but couldn't hold onto the puck afterwards...ONE MINUTE WARNING

6:33 - Tambellini is getting double shifted..he's out with Smith

6:32 - Faceoff in the Hartford zone...2:41 left...

6:31 - Oh man Joey Mac with two HUGE stops on Owens right in front of him...

6:30 - the Pack are working this like a power play...and are getting some good deflections...stoppage of play with 3:28 left

6:29 - Oh boy Korpikoski just deflected it in front and caught Joey Mac off guard

6:28 - And we're ready to start...Walter and Tambo will be the forward pair for the Tigers...

6:26 - END OF PERIOD 3: That looks like that's gonna be all for regulation...Sound Tigers get a HUGE POINT now...

6:25 - The Pack have a tough time keeping the puck in play

6:24 - ONE MINUTE WARNING

6:23 - Joey Mac has an equipment issue...or is it just a nice ploy to delay play ..

6:22 - Two minutes left...

6:20 - SCOREBOARD WATCH: Manchester and Hershey are currently tied at 2 with 6:00 minutes left in the second period...

6:18 - Fraser just ran into Wotton deep in the Tigers zone...not smart...

6:17 - I dont know if diving into a Hartford player headfirst is a smart thing for Steve Regier to do, especially in his state of exhaustion...

6:14 - Fretter decided to shoot part of the puck there and got nothing on it...

6:11 - Lordy Regier looks gasses...Haskins gets a shot on Wiikman and he'll hold for a faceoff after the TV timeout

6:08 - Haskins all alone in front and Wiikman just shut the door on him...

6:06 - Action now at the Sound Tigers end...Hartford PP is buzzing...getting a lot of shots on..and Parenteau just DINGED one off the post as Tambo left the box...wow....

6:05 - Jackman and Reggie just led a 2-on-1 SH rush...some close calls there even after the rush ended

6:03 - Now a slashing call on Tambellini now...it was too good to be true...

6:01 - Oh man, Colton Fretter just rang one off the post...crowd went nuts for it...this arena is pretty cool when loud and packed...

5:58 - Tigers tie it! Tambo's in the middle of it again...delivering a back-door feed to Jamie Fraser...a play they've executed so many times this year....TIED 3-3

5:57 - Smith with a great shot on Wiikman and Miika gave him a better glove save...but there's a penalty on the play to Hartford...Fritz is going off for hooking...BRI to the PP

5:56 - Tonight's attendance is an impressive 8,191

5:54 - And we're ready to start the third...and the Wolfpack win the draw...

5:38 - Bruce Bertlett just mentioned to me that the Wolfpack are 37-0-2-1 when leading after 2 periods...thats nice...

5:36 - END OF PERIOD 2: Cappy just shouted over something to Koharski...I don't think it was Shakespheare....if you wanna know what I thought about that period, just look at yesterday's end of period two entry and just replace the team names and add Jamie Koharski..

5:35 - Now let's see if Koharski is giving anything here...no?? Surprised...

5:34 - Ford just got tripped in the Tigers zone and gets no call...ticky-tack...ONE MINUTE WARNING

5:33 - And with 4 seconds left on Fretters penalty, Parenteau rips one over MacDonald's shoulder...this is looking familiar again...HFD LEADS 3-2

5:32 - So far, so good...faceoff won by the Tigers and they will clear...

5:30 - And now Regier is going off for high sticking...and leaves his broken stick on the ice in protest...oh boy...1:25 5-on-3 for HFD

5:29 - That's a VERY WEAK hooking call on Fretter there...HFD is going to ANOTHER PP

5:25 - And Spiller is out...

5:24 - MacDonald is keeping the tigers in this game just like Wiikman is doing for Hartford

5:22 - Macdonald's making some good saves on the PK...Fata is out of the box, so now it's just one man up...oh never mind...looks like Koharski has Fata going back to the box with Parenteau on the scrum after the whistle...it will still be 5-on-4 play...

5:20 - Another penalty coming up...on the Tigers...some shoving happens after the whistle, but Spiller is going to the box....35 second 5-on-3 advantage for the Tigers

5:19 - The Taxi Squad is all out for the PK...I dont know how smart that would be...

5:17 - Penalty to the Tigers now as I saw a Waolfpack just fly...Fata is going to the box...

5:14 - Dane Byers just tossed his stick like a javelin before...that thing flew!! It was by accident of course...PP over..

5:11 - Jamie Koharski has got Korpikoski on a cross-check....BRI goes to the PP after the TV timeout

5:10 - MacArthur was all alone on Wiikman and Miika just made an unbelievable glove save to stone him. Tigers could be winning this easily...and on the other end Parenteau just DINGED one off the post.

5:08 - Both men are out of the box and we return to 5 aside

5:05 - Coincidental minors to Pock and Haskins...4-on-4 play

5:04 - Tensions flaring here after the whistle...

5:03 - Joey Mac was moving all over the place, and Greg Moore had quite an open net to shoot from...hmm...this does seem familiar...TIED 2-2

5:02 - And here we go...starting the second with the Wolfpack winning the faceoff

4:43 - END OF PERIOD ONE: What a great start for the Tigers...can't complain about two goals in the first minute of the period. It seemed like they stayed back for the middle of the first and allowed the Wolfpack get on the board, but finished it off well. Let's hope for the Tigers sake that it's not a repeat of last night's performance. They need to keep the energy level up and not let up...

4:42 - This is a very long last minute...we've got 1.9 seconds left and a faceoff in the HFD zone

4:39 - Ford's out of the box and another successful kill...ONE MINUTE WARNING

4:38 - We've been noting that Mark Wotton seems to get younger as the season goes on...he's 35 years old and he's playing like he's 25

4:36 - Ford's getting called for interference...not sure I agree with the call, but this is Jamie Koharski here, I hardly ever do

4:35 - Wiikman has been pretty good on this PP..Smith almost had a goal if it wasn't for a bouncing puck...it could really be 4-1 now...and MacArthur lets off a fast wrist shot and Wiikman will cover. PP over...

4:34 - Mark wotton just snagged TWO pucks out of the air with the blade of his stick...I swear, I thought we were watching a baseball game...

4:31 - Tambo gets ANOTHER breakaway...and draws another penalty on it...that's like the third straight game? Sometime that's gonna go in...BRI to the PP

4:30 - Mosienko is out of the box and the Tigers escape the wrath of the HFP PP...

4:28 - BTW, Hartford has the #2 PP in the AHL...

4:27 - Mosienko is gonna get called for a slash here after breaking a Wolfpack stick...HFD to the PP

4:23 - Tigers defense looked missing, there...Parenteau broke in for the shot after a turnover by Ford, MacDonald made the save but Korpikoski was right there for the put-in...BRI LEADS 2-1

4:22 - Kinda odd seeing Bentivoglio play on the fourth line tonight...two-on-one by the Wolfpack...shot is blocked by Kohn but the puck still moves forward and flutters towards Joey Mac...unlike yesterday, with Morrison, he'll glove it

4:21 - Wolfpack look disoriented...they've been turning the puck over a lot...and the play goes to the other end and MacDonald makes a good glove save

4:17 - Seems like a good 7,000 crowd today...they've been mentioning sell-out, but I see a bunch of empty seats..

4:15 - I like what I've seen from Peter MacArthur in his stay with the Tigers so far...he doesn't seem out of place

4:13 - The two goals means FREE CHILI....I think that the fastest free chili ever!

4:12 - Section 105 lets us know that the "Wolfpack sucks"

4:09 - Good lord...Trevor Smith on a 2-on-1 break skates right in and fires a shot top corner...and we're just a minute into the game! BRI LEADS 2-0

4:08 - And the Tigers are on the board just 21 seconds into the game...Ben Walter gets a feed in front of the net from Tambellini...BRI LEADS 1-0

4:07 - And we're ready to go here...Tigers win the opening faceoff...

3:55 - Starting for the Sound Tigers: Jackman - Walter - Tambellini -- Wotton - Fraser

3:47 - Tonight's officials: Referee: Jamie Koharski; Linesmen - Kevin Redding & Derek Wahl

3:45 - Scratch from the Sound Tigers lineup: Andrew MacDonald, Justin Bourne, Andy Sertich, Jesse Joensuu, Jean Desrochers, Pascal Morency, Keith Johnson, Jason Pitton, Kip Brennan

3:43 - This arena's getting crowded...it has the makings of one of the largest crowds this season

3:30 - Here are your line combinations...

Jackman (A) - Walter - Tambellini (A)
Regier - Smith - Keith
Mosienko - Fretter - MacArthur
Haskins - Bentivoglio

Fata - Ford
Spiller - Kohn
Wotton (C) - Fraser

3:28 - It's gonna be a Joey MacDonald vs. Miika Wiikman goalie match up today...

3:18 - Pittsburgh padded their Atlantic division lead in the NHL today...they're gonna be really tough to stop in the playoffs..

3:00 - Should be a good crowd today, as it looks like fans are ready to pile into the Arena

2:57 - They're already putting pucks on the boards for the warmups...wanted to make we didn't forget this time now!

2:49 - Geez, just caught a shot of the crowd from the Red Sox/Dodgers game...115,300 fans! Wow...

2:36 - Oh god, never would I have thought we'd be discussing The Thompson Twins, The Bangles, and Bow Wow wow here...gheesh!!

2:00 - I'm back again at the Arena at Harbor Yard for the back end of a three-in-three and it should be exciting today as the Hartford Wolfpack are in town, and the Arena is always packed when the 'Pack are here. It's Islanders vs. Rangers - AHL style! After last night's dissapointing loss to the Penguins, the Tigers need to bounce back and have themselves a big game tonight.

There are two big games the Tigers have to watch tonight. The Hershey Bears will face off with the Manchester Monarchs at 5:00....and then an hour later, the Binghamton Senators will tangle with the Rochester Americans at 6:05. I'll get some scoreboard updates as they happen, but will most likely have everything updated when I return home to the Island tonight.

Here are the AHL East Division standings...
